AstroElite Financial Users' Guide

The installation and activation process for AstroElite/Standard/Professional and Jyotish Master is similar. They are different only in minor details like installation file name or program name in the menus.

Installation, activation, configuration

Requirements

The program is compatible with any Microsoft Windows system from XP to 7, except Asian versions like Chinese and Japan. There may be some minor compatibility problems with Windows national versions like French or Russian but they are easy to fix. There are no specific requirements to CPU speed or memory size but for better performance dual-core processor and 1G RAM recommended. The 1024x768 or higher resolution display recommended.

How to purchase

Click the «Buy» button on the main website page
For payment you will be redirected to PayPal.com website who provides safe and secure CC process
In case of successful authorization the sale script will run. That will create your copy of the program and send you the purchase confirmation with a link to download

Downloading the program

Just click the received link and save the installation package on your hard drive.

Installation/Removal

Run installation file (e.g. ae_setup_fin.exe or jyotim_setup_pro.exe) from Windows Explorer or with Start/Run/Browse/Open command line.
In the Destination folder window type in the path where you want to install the program or use a Browse button to select the folder.
Click Install.

The installation finishes in few seconds and the program runs automatically. A program icon will be created on a desktop.
The program doesn't modify Windows registry or system variables. It does not add any libraries of fonts to your system. A "deinstallation" process consists of removing the program folder and desktop icon.

Activation

The program is protected and you need an Activation Key (AK) to get it run. Click the Help/Activate menu item and press "Get activation key" button. This will run your mailing program with user code inserted. Type in the date of purchase and order/transaction number and send this message. If you wnat to register the program to name other than your billing one, include this name into the e-mail.

Shortly you will receive the Activation Key and name. Copy and paste them to the activation form and click "Activate". Be sure you have copied those in full and there are no trailing or leading spaces.
The word LOCKED should gone from the main window caption and you see your name there. Now the program is activated and ready to use.

Updating

The versions starting from 2.5.x.x have an automatic update feature.

To run it click Help/Check for updates menu item
Confirm the Updater start. AstroElite will close
Check if you are online abd Click Check for updates button.
Shortly the information about available update will be shown
If update is available the download start and you the number of kilobytes downloaded in status bar. When it finishes the Apply update button turns from grayed-out into black. Click that.
In few seconds the update will unpack, install and run
You may remove the update file that has a name like aelite.x.x.x.exe.

Configuring financial data feed

Go to Preferences/Network. There are two servers you may receive data from: astroElite.com and Global Capital Investment. To use the latter to need to open account with GCI or use your existing demo or live account login and password.

Note that since version 3.0 you no longer need to have a separate login/password to access AE server but your activation data used instead. They are displayed at this screen for reference only and disabled to change from here.

A data feed link also changed to from df.asp to df3.asp. The old link will work with old AEF versions only. Metatrader login data group reserved for future builds, you cannot use them in AEF.3.0
